“ So I guess you’re never gonna talk about it, eh? About me leaving? About me coming back? —- Just sweep it under the rug, just like momma taught ya. What a good ol’ golden boy you are, Jax. ”
Monday night movie marathons – a tradition they used to have as kids that even worked it’s way up into their teens ——————————————- At least til Ryan left. None of the them would have ever guessed they’d do it again, all three holed-up in the clubhouse, couches pulled in tight, bodies draped over the cushions hapharzardly as the light of the television flickered ominously through the darkened room.
[ Nothing else could bring her comfort like this. ]
Ryan didn’t even have to turn her head to know that Opie had already fallen asleep, the big oaf rarely made it past the second movie anyways. His loud snores vibrating the walls around them, it took almost every fiber in her to stifle her giggles. She didn’t really want to ruin the movie, anyways.
Jax was silent, his frame pressed against the opposite side of the same couch she was on, most likely pouting. It had been a bit over a week since Ryan’s return, and Jackson had yet to say anything to her… hell, even acknowledge her presence.
Somehow she had promised herself she’d give him two weeks. T w o w h o l e w e e k s before she approached him. That gave him more than enough time to make his move, but then again… this was Jax Teller, and stubborn was his middle name.
If either of the two could stick this out, it’d be him.
[ Ryan was the impatient one after all. ]
Fuck it. She wasn’t going to last two weeks. Especially when he really loved to just sit in the same room as her and pretend she wasn’t there. He knew just how to press her buttons.
Maybe it was his favorite game ??
Her slender figure slowly shifted down the couch towards him, as if she was the sliest fox around. Eventually, her frame met his, wedging against him like the missing piece of your favorite puzzle. An airy sigh escaped her rosy lips as she tipped her head sideways to lay against his shoulder.
If he wasn’t going to say anything, then neither was she. But no where in the rules does it say no touching.
The night continued on in silence – almost – the only noise to be heard was the soft lull of Opie’s breathing and the low hum of the movie, but to be honest she wasn’t even paying attention. Eventually the tense air lessened and her body relaxed against his, as if the embarrassing part was over. Almost as if they shared an ever silent ’ I ’ m s o r r y ’
Her lids grew heavy, her breathing more shallow, and her body more limp as the blonde cascaded off into slumber, still happily laced against Jax, his body heat a warm reminder of her past.
[ Did I forget to mention Ryan never made it past the second movie either ?? ]
